and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Insurance and Loans.
Also,
House bill entitled "An Act to amend the Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the December
Session, 1835, thereof, chapter 328, entitled an Act to in-
corporate the George's Creek Mining Company, as
amended and supplemented by the Act of said General
Assembly, passed at the adjourned May Session, 1836,
thereof, chapter 382, entitled a supplement to the Act to
incorporate the George's Creek Mining Company, (where-
by amongst other things the name of the George's Creek
Coal and Iron Company) by adding certain additional
sections thereto, enlarging the corporate powers of said
company and providing for the appointment of a vice-
president of said company."
Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also,
House bill entitled "An Act to place a proper tablet
on the Taney Monument in the State House Grounds at
Annapolis, commemorative of the life and services of
Roger B. Taney, and to appropriate a sum of money
therefor."
Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.
Also,
House bill entitled "An Act to extend the privileges,
enlarge the powers and amend the charter of the ‘West-
minster Water Company,' of Westminster. Maryland, a
corporation duly incorporated under the General Laws
of this State."
