Chapter 79. "An Act to amend the charter of the
Firemen's Insurance Company of Baltimore, a body cor-
porate, existing by virtue of the Act of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1825, chapter 55, and the Acts
supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof, by pro-
viding for the reduction in the number of directors of
said company fixed by the Act of 1892, chapter 143, sec-
tion 5, sub-section 13; and also to ratify and approve the
increase heretofore made by the stockholders of the com-
pany in the number and par value of the shares of capi-
tal stock of said corporation, in pursuance of section 4,
sub section 2, of said last-mentioned Act. "

Chapter 80. "An Act to correct a clerical error in para-
graph 19 of section 1, of the Act of 1898, chapter 323,
entitled an Act to appropriate certain sums of money in
support of sundry schools and charitable institutions in
the State of Maryland for each of the two fiscal years
ending on the 30th day of September, 1899, and on the
30th day of September, 1900, respectively, and to appro-
priate for the Hospital for the women of Maryland the
sum of two thousand dollars, which, under said Act as
signed by the Governor, said hospital failed to receive in
consequence of said clerical error. "

Chapter 81. "An Act to repeal section 146 D, of Arti-
cle 81, of Code of Public General Laws, as enacted by
the Act of 1898, chapter 501. "

Chapter 82. "An Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point five additional Notaries Public, in Baltimore
county. "

Chapter 84. "An Act to authorize the Board of County
Commissioners of Cecil county to erect and maintain
boards so painted and marked with letters and figures as
to indicate the direction of, and distance to the nearest
town, city, village, postoffice or other places of impor-
tance at the road intersections in said county. "

Chapter 85. "An Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the grant of a parcel
of land described in a deed from Sarah J. Norris to the
Trustees of Mount Zion Methodist Episcopal Church, of
Harford county, dated the 3rd day of January, 1900, and
