House bill entitled "An Act authorizing the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to use the surplus money aris-
ing from the changes occasioned by the new City Charter
for the reduction of the tax rate for the year 1900. "

Recommitted to the Baltimore city delegation.

HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

February 26th, 1900,

The following Acts of the General Assembly, originat-
ing in the House of Delegates, were presented to the
Governor for his approval this day at 9. 30 o'clock A. M.:

Chapter 51. ''An Act to provide for the selling of corn,
hay, straw, fodder and potatoes in Annapolis city by
weight and to establish scales therefor. "

Chapter 52. "An Act to amend the charter of the
Catonsville Water Company. "

Chapter 53. "An Act to provide for the division of the
Second Election Precinct of the Ninth Election District
of Baltimore county into two election precincts, to be
known as 'Precinct. No. 2, and 'Precinct No. 5, ' respect-
ively. "

Chapter 54. "An Act to change the name of the Mc-
Clenahan and Brother Granite Company of Cecil county''

Chapter 55. "An Act to extend an Act entitled 'An Act
to incorporate the New York Mining Company, passed
at December session, 1844, chapter 220, and the supple-
ment thereto, passed at December session, 1846, chapter
123, ' and the Act to alter and amend the said original
Act of incorporation and supplements thereto, passed at
January session, 1853, chapter 70, and the Act to alter
amend and extend the said original Act of incorporation,
and the supplements thereto passed at January session,
1874, chapter 110, for the period, 30 years. '"

Chapter 56. "An Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county, to change
the grade of a public road in the 13th district of said
county commonly known as 'The Washington Turnpike
Road, at and near the place where the same crosses the
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad at grade, for the pur-
