"61 A. It shall be the duty of the Police Commissioners
of Baltimore city and of the Sheriffs of each county in
the State to see that all practising physicians in this
State shall be legally registered according to the provi-
sions of this Act and of Article 43, of the Code of Public
General Laws, within six months from the date of the
passage of this Act.
"62. Repealed.
"64. Any person practising or attempting to practice
medicine under the name of any other person, whether
that person be a resident of this State or not, or whether
he or she be deceased or not, or any person acting under
the name of and as agent of any other person, in the
capacity of a practitioner of medicine or surgery, except
such person shall openly profess and publicly be known
to be acting as such agent, shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction by any Court having crimi-
nal jurisdiction shall be punished by imprisonment in
the city or county jail for not less than thirty days nor
more than one year, or by a fine of not less than one
hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or
both, in the discretion of the Court for such offense.
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(1. ) In line 13 of section 40 of amended bill, after the
words "consist of, " strike out the word "seven, " and in-
sert in lieu thereof the word "eight. "
(2. ) In line 23 of section 40 of amended bill, after the
words "number of, " strike out the word "seven" and in-
sert the word "eight" in lieu thereof.
(3. ) In line 25 of section 40 of amended bill, after the
words "year and" strike out the word "one" and insert
"two" in lieu thereof.
(4. ) In line 34 of section 40 of amended bill, after the
words "and the remaining" strike out "three" and insert
"four" in lieu thereof.
(5. ) In line 10 of section 61 of amended bill, after the
word "duties" insert "nor to chiropodists or to opticians,
so far as the selling of spectacles and eyeglasses is con-
cerned. "
