And to strike out after the word "exceed, " in line 9,
the words "three dollars per day for each of said mem-
bers, " and substitute in lieu thereof the words "five hun-
dred dollars per annum for all of said members and said
secretary. "

Amend section 6 by changing the number of said sec-
tion to 7.

And by adding after the word "board" in line 3 of the
then section 7 the words "and secretary thereof. "

And by striking out the words after the word "office"
in line 4, the words "for stationery, postage stamps and
furniture. "

Amend section 7 by changing the number to section 8.

And in line 4 of the then section 8 to strike out the
word "Clerk, " and substitute therefor the word "Secre-
tary. "

And in line 6 to strike out word "Clerk" and substi-
tute therefor the word "Secretary. "

And to add after the word "Board" in line 7, the words
"and of said Secretary. "

Mr. Lehmayer, from Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, sections 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 52 and
61, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled 'Health, '
sub-title 'Practitioners of Medicine, ' to repeal altogether
sections 49, 51 and 62 of said Article, and to add addi-
tional sections thereto, to be designated as 'Sections 40
A, 61 A and 64. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after "a bill" and substitute in lieu
thereof, the following:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 48, 52 and 61, of Article
43, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled 'Health, '
sub- title 'Practitioners of Medicine, ' to repeal altogether
sections 49, 51 and 62. of said Article, and to add addi-
tional sections thereto, to be designated as 'Sections 40
A, 61 A and 64. "

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, that sections 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 48, 52
