the State to reimburse Garrett county for an instalment
of the State school tax withheld from said county in the
year 1899, and also to authorize and direct the comp-
troller to pay to the county the March instalment for the
year 1900. '
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the
Mayor and Council of Hagerstown to issue bonds to pay
the town's quota or assessment for the extension of Pros-
pect street in said town, northward, between Washington
and Church streets, and for the laying out, grading and
macadamizing the same.
On motion of Mr. Brown, of Frederick,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill, entitled "An Act to prohibit the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors within one and one-half
miles of Providence Methodist Protestant Church at
Kemptown Election District No. 9, Frederick county,
Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Long,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide for
the establishment of an Electric Light Plant in Hagers-
town, Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Lehmayer,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to extend the privi-
leges, enlarge the powers and amend the charter of the
Credit Men's Association of Baltimore city, a corporation
duly incorporated under the General Laws of the State
of Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Walsh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-en-
act, with amendments, section 5, of chapter 6, of the Acts
of 1894, in relation to granting liquor licenses in Carroll
county. "
