'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title 'Gunning, ' as repeal-
ed and re-enacted bo chapter 655, of the Acts of 1892,
and re-enact the same with amendments. "
Which was read a first time.

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with recommendation that same be referred
to the Committee on Railroads and Canals.

House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Corporations, ' sub-title 'Railroads, ' to follow section 177,
and to be designated as 'Section 177 A. ' "

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Railroads and Canals.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 37, of
Article 19, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Comptroller, ' as amended by chapter 205, of the Acts of
1896, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claims of Wm. J. C. Dulany Company
for stationery furnished for the use of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1898, the Executive Department,
Court of Appeals and State Library for 1899, and the
General Assembly of Maryland for 1900. "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Lehmayer, from Judiciary Committee, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to provide additional reve-
nue for the State of Maryland, by imposing a license fee
upon the officers, agents, representatives, servants or em-
ployees of foreign breweries doing business in this
State. "

Mr. Martenet moved to substitute the bill for the un-
favorable report.
