AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 43 of printed bill, after the word "thereof, "
strike out words "for valuing policies of health insurance
having more than one year to run as provided in sub-sec-
tion 6 of section 122, of this Article, the sum of $30 for
the first $1, 000 policies or any fractional part thereof, and
$5 for each additional 1000 policies or fractional part
thereof. "

Also, favorably, with proposed amendment,
House bill entitled "An Act to add two additional sec-
tions to Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title 'Corporations, ' sub-title 'Insurance Department, ' to
be known as 'Section 126 A and section 126 B, ' of said
additional sections being intended to prevent the pay-
ment of commissions to unlicensed agents or solicitors. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 27 of printed bill, after word "delivered" insert-
the words "written and. "

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Smith, from Select Committee, reported favora-
bly,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's county to grant a pen-
sion, not exceeding $50 annually, to John Powell of said
county, and to levy on the assessable property of said
county for the same. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Contee, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, chapter 102, of the Acts of 1894, entitled
an Act to reincorporate the town of Hyattsville, Prince
George's county, Md., and to create therein a governing
body by the name and style of the Mayor arid Common
Council. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Dryden, from Select Committee, reported favor-
