Mr. Roberts submitted the following message to the
Senate:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 18th, 1900..
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message, proposing with the
concurrence of the House of Delegates, the appointment
of a Joint Special Committee to consist of five members,
three of the House and two on the part of the Senate,
whose duty it shall be to correspond with the General
Assembly or Committee thereof, for the purpose of hav-
ing enacted concurrent legislation on the part of Mary-
land and Virginia, relative to fish and oysters in the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Roberts, Satterfield and Dudley of Queen Anne's.

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Walsh, from Select Committee, reported favorably

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor
and Common Council of the town of Union Bridge, Car-
roll county, Maryland, to issue bonds to raise money to
pay off the amount of outstanding bonds heretofore
issued by said municipal corporation, under authority
given by the Act of Assembly of 1884, chapter 24, and to
collect the necessary taxes for the payment of said bonds
and the interest thereon"
