to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Dorchester Electric Light and Power Company. "
On motion of Mr. Smith,
Leave was granted to the Queen Anne's county dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sec-
tion 13, of Article 99, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Wild Fowls, Birds and Game, ' as far as relates
to Queen Annes county. "
On motion of Mr. Scrimger,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to sanction the bequest
of one thousand dollars to the Vestry of St. Luke's Church
by Eloise Baker, late of Baltimore city, deceased. "
On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments section 61, of Article 77, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Text Books, ' as
said section was re-enacted by chapter 135 of the Acts of
1896. '"
On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to ratify and confirm
the gift to the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese
of Easton, from George K. Goldsborough and Eleanor A.
Goldsborough, of two thousand dollars in trust; and a
gift from C. A. Vandyne to said convention for the clergy
relief fund of one thousand dollars on certain conditions. "
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Mont-
gomery County, ' sub-title 'Roads, ' to follow section 176,
and to be designated as 'Section 176 A. '"
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend section 1, at the end thereof, after the word
"side" by adding "provided the provisions of this Act
shall not apply to Takoma Park. "
