Made the Special Order of the Day for Thursday, at
1 P. M.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 167 to
197, inclusive, of Article 7, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title 'Carroll County, 'sub-title 'Union
Bridge, ' and several Acts and parts of Acts amendatory
thereof, and to re-enact said Article 7, sections 167 to
197, inclusive, title 'Carroll County, ' and sub-title 'Union
Bridge, ' with amendments, and insert additional sections
relating to the charter of Union Bridge. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and require
the Board of County Commissioners of Carroll county to
pay to the Mayor and Council of Hampstead, a body cor-
porate in the" county aforesaid, one-half the amount of
road taxes levied and collected from all the property
within the corporate limits of the town of Hampstead of
said county. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections L88, of
217 inclusive, of Article 3, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title 'Baltimore County, ' sub-title 'Roads, ' as
amended by chapter 49 and chapter 469, of the Acts of
1896, and chapter 309 of the Acts of 1898, and to re-enact
the same with amendments, and to add three new sec-
tions thereto to be designated 'Sections 217 A, 217 B, 217
C. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st Amendment. After word "add" in the sixth line,
strike out the word "three" and insert in lieu thereof the
word "five. "

2nd Amendment. After figures "217 C" in line 7, add
'217 D and 217 E. "
