REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
Mr. Graeff, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the compensa-
tion of the County Commissioners of Allegany county,
and to repeal all laws inconsistent therewith, " as follows:

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act changing the metes and
bounds, courses and distances of Election District No. 21
in Allegany county, Maryland. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Biggs, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
the Burgess and Commissioners of Boonsboro, Washing-
ton county, State of Maryland, to borrow money on the
credit of said town for the purpose of constructing or
purchasing and operating waterworks in or near said
town, and to issue bonds for the payment of the cost of
the same and to levy a tax on the assessable property of
said town to redeem said bonds and to pay the interest
thereon. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Walsh, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Carroll county, to issue bonds to liqui-
date the indebtedness of the School Commissioners of
said county. "

Also,

In line t, after word "river, " add "or the tributaries
thereof. "

Also,

Add after word "oysters" in line 11, "any citizens of
St. Mary's or Calvert counties desiring to take or catch
oysters with tongs, may apply to the clerk of the county
of which he is a resident, for a license to take oysters in
the Chesapeake bay or Potomac river during the time
