On motion of Mr. Scrimger, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Brown, of Baltimore city, Le ex-
cused from attending this session on account of impor-
tant business.

On motion of Mr. Bennett, it was

Ordered, That Thos. S. Roberts be excused from this
session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Sandman, it was

Ordered, That B. S. W. Choate be excused from attend-
ance at to-day's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Waters, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Buckey be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 740
and 741, of Article 4, Public Local Laws, entitled 'City of
Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Police Commissioners, ' as amended
and re-enacted by chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, and
to re-enact the same with amendments. "

On motion of Mr. Biggs,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate
the Maryland State Horticultural Society, and to appro-
priate a sum of money therefor. "

On motion of Mr, Jeffers,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Gov-
ernor to appoint two additional Justices of the Peace for
the Twelfth Election District, and three additional
Justices of the Peace for the Fifteen Election District of
Baltimore county. "

On motion of Mr. Long,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
