Mr. Siegmund, from Committee on Insurance and
Loans, reported favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 27, of the Public General Laws, title ' Crimes and
Punishments, ' sub-title ' Embezzling Property or Writ-
ings, ' to come in after section 74, and to be known as
' Section 74 A, ' and said section to refer to insurance pre-
miums. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Malcolm Graham and Maggie Ireland,
administrators of John F. Ireland, deceased, and Joseph
M. Sherbert, for expenses and counsel fees of John F.
Ireland and Joseph M. Sherbert, in the contested elec-
tion case of Arthur A. Harkness and Samuel R. Bird,
against them in the House of Delegates in the year
1896. "

Mr. Collins submitted the following amended order:

per day for services rendered the House of Delegates,
from January 3 to February 13th, both inclusive.
