and City Council of Baltimore to use the surplus money
arising from the changes occasioned by the new city
charter for the reduction of the tax rate for the year

House bill entitled "An Act to refund a sum of money
out of the State Treasury, to John Keilholtz, for State
tax paid by him on trust funds, such funds being exempt
from taxation; whereas, John Keilholtz, of Rising Sun,
Cecil county, Maryland, as guardian for Harry S. Kiel-
holtz and Alma Kielholtz, for trust funds amounting to
$5, 362; and whereas, the said trust funds were invested
in real estate mortgages, paid during the years 1892, to
1894, inclusive, as State tax on the said trust funds, the
sum of $126. 94; and whereas, during the years aforesaid,
money invested in real estate mortgages was not liable
to taxation. "

House bill entitled "An Act to pay Harvey Conway,
owner of the schooner M. M. Davis, the sum of $1, 151. 76
indemnity to him for damage and loss of said schooner,
her cargo and provisions aboard the same, by collision
with the State Steamer, Governor Robert McLane. "

In lines 2 and 3 of the title of the bill after the word
"of" strike out the words "eleven hundred and fifty-one
dollars and seventy-six cents" and insert "'eight hundred
dollars. "
