On motion of Mr. Martenet,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal, amend and
re-enact section 128, of Article 27, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title
'Gaming, ' and to provide for the prevention of pool sell-
ing and kindred devices within this State. "
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
Senate bill entitled "An Act to extend the privileges
and amend the charter of the Laurel Building Associ-
ation of Prince George's county, a corporation incorpor-
ated under the General Laws of the State. "
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
Senate bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Eder
Public Park Association of Elkton, Md. "
Which was read a first time and referred to the Cecil
county delegation.
Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 11, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Fred-
erick County, ' by inserting after section 37, under a new
sub-title to be designated 'Attorneys Fees, ' certain addi-
tional sections to be known as '37 A and 37 B, ' providing
for the appointment of assistant counsel in criminal and
other State cases, and to defend in criminal cases and
regulating the compensation to be allowed by the county
commissioners of said county for such services. "
Which was read the first time and referred to the
Frederick county delegation.
Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend section 1, of
chapter 638, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1898, entitled an Act to incorporate the Old
Line Real Estate Trust Company, of Baltimore city, and
to repeal sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13, of said chap-
ter, and to re-enact certain of those sections with amend-
ments, and to add certain additional sections to said
chapter granting additional powers, to be known as 'Sec-
tions 6 A, 6 B, 6 C, 10 A and 10 B. ' "
