The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 11th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a committee of five, two on the part of the Sen-
ate, and three on the part of the House of Delegates, to
wait on the Honorable Murray Vandiver, the Treasurer-
elect, and inform him of his election, and respectfully
concur therein.

We Lave appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Crothers and Williams, of Harford county.
