permits the use thereof by such employees to such ex-
tent as may be reasonable for the preservation of health
and proper rest, and the question of what is thus reason-
able is one for determination by the jury or the court
acting as a jury in any protection hereunder.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, that this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage. "

The bill, as amended, was read a second time and

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 40, Art-
icle 17, of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Clerks
of Courts, ' sub-title 'Court of Appeals, ' as repealed and
re-enacted by the Acts of 1894, chapter 298, and to re-
enact the same with amendments. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend by inserting in line 37, after the word "clerk"
"or counsel for the appellants may have such records
printed wherever they may elect, subject, however, to
rules of said Court and the supervision of said clerk. "

Amend by striking out in lines 38 and 39, the words,
"or may be printed by said counsel at their option. "

Amend by striking out all after the word "all" in line
48.

Amend by adding "Section 2. And be it enacted, That
this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage. "
