with amendments chapter 499, of the Acts of 1898, of
the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled 'An Act to
amend Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title 'Testamentary Law, ' by adding a new
section thereto to be known as 'Section 290 A. ' "

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judiciary.

Also,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to make valid the sales
made and the deeds, devises and other instruments of
writing executed and delivered by trustee or trustees to
whom any estate, real, personal or mixed, shall have been
limited and conveyed for the benefit of creditors, or to
be sold for any other purpose, where such trustee or
trustees have failed to comply with the requirements of
section 205, of Article 16, of the Maryland Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, in giving bond with but -one surety. "

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judiciary.

ORDER OF THE DAY.
The hour of 9 P. M. having arrived,

The House considered the Order of the Day, being the
following order submitted by Mr. Robinson:.

Ordered, That John R. Sullivan be paid $5 per day for
services rendered the House of Delegates from January
3d, to February 13th, both inclusive.

On motion of Mr. Mitchell,

Said order was made the Special Order of the Day for
Wednesday next, at 1 P. M.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Bramble, from the Committee on Federal Relations,
reported favorably, with proposed amendment,

House bill entitled "An Act authorizing the Antietam
Battlefield Commission of Maryland, to transfer to the
perpetual care of the Governments of the United States,
the property acquired by them on the battlefield of An-
tietam, Maryland. "
