On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Baltimore Elks Exposition and Social Session Associa-
tion. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An" Act to establish a
commission of State aid and charity. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to enable the Enoch
Pratt Free Library of Baltimore city, to receive gifts,
bequests, devises and conveyances of real and personal
property for the use of said library. "
On motion of Mr. Seigmund,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to prevent the over-
crowding of street cars in Baltimore city. "
On motion of Mr. Norris, of Carroll,
Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 167
and 197, inclusive, of Article 7, of Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title 'Carroll County, ' sub-title 'Union
Bridge, ' and re-enact same with amendments, relating to
the charter of Union Bridge. "
The Secretary of the Senate appeared, and delivered
the following message:
Joint Resolution requesting the Senators and Repre-
sentatives in Congress, from the State of Maryland, f to
use all proper endeavor to have the, authorities of the
United States deed and convey to the State of Maryland
the Naval Hospital building located on the Government
farm, adjoining the Naval Academy grounds, near An-
napolis.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Federal Relations.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize and direct the
