Which was read a first time and ordered to be printed
as amended.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
the Burgess and Commissioners of Williamsport in
Washington county to redeem each and all of the bonds
issued by them under the provisions of chapter 27, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at its January session A. D. 1898, and to issue bonds in
lieu thereof. "

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays. "

Also, favorably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 247, of Article 27, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title 'Crimes and Punishments, '
sub-title 'Sabbath Breaking. '"

Which was read a first time and ordered to be printed
as amended.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 43, 44,
45, of Article 18, of the Public Local Laws, entitled
'Queen Anne's County, ' sub-title 'Centreville, ' and to re-
enact the same with amendments. ' "

Which was read a first time and referred to the Queen
Anne delegation.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 10, 37, 59, 77, 97 and 176, of
the Acts of 1898, chapter 123, entitled 'City of Balti-
more, ' sub-title 'Charter. ' "

Which was read a first time and referred to the Balti-
more city delegation.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to be placed to the credit of the oyster fund for
the permanent salaries and expenses of the oyster police
force of the State of Maryland, from October, 1899, to
May 1st, 1900. "
