Mr. Kendall presented the petition of Joseph Downey,
J. F. Wheatley, and 103 others, praying that 110 time be
taken off the oyster season.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.

Mr. Feldmeyer presented the petition from clergymen
representing various churches and others, against any
modification of the Sunday law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Judiciary.

Mr. Dunn presented a memorial from St. Joseph's
House of Industry, asking an appropriation.

Which was read and referred, to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Waters presented the petition of John E. Hargett
and 2, 400 otter tax payers of Frederick county, asking
that $800 per annum be paid to the County School Com-
missioners of Frederick county, for the benefit of the
high schools, instead of the Visitors of Frederick Col-
lege.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

The Speaker presented the petition of C. T. Cole, Jas.
S. Wheeler and about 125 others, residents of Baltimore
county, against any modification in Sunday laws.

Also,

Petition of Benj. Gaskins and 50 other citizens, mem-
bers of Israel Baptist Church of Baltimore city, against
modification of Sunday law.

Also,

The petition of Rev. J. L. Mills, R. W. Hammond and
25 other citizens, of Brooklyn, Anne Arundel county,
against any change in the Sunday laws.

Also,

The petition of T. J. Brady, R. B. Smoot and 100 others,
against any modification of Sunday law.

Also,

Petition of Rev, T. J. Gost, J. M. Bardler and about
50 others, against any modification of the Sunday laws.
