The petition of Peter Rennolds and about'100 others,
praying that the use of patent tongs be prohibited in
catching oysters in the waters of Kent county.

Which was read, and referred to the Kent county dele-
gation, and to Mr. Lakin.

Mr. Norris, of Carroll, presented the petition signed by
Charles T. Reifsneider and 900 other taxpayers of Carroll
county, praying relief for the bondsmen of William W.
Smelser, late tax collector of the Fifteenth Election dis-
trict of Carroll county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

The Speaker presented the petition of Chas. S. Morrow,
Chas. A. Hancock and 300 other citizens, in opposition to
modification of the Sunday law.

Also,

The petition of T. T. Tongue and 61 others, against
modification of the Sunday law.
Also,

The petition of Rev. A. Conner, Stephen A. Thomas
and about 100 other members of the Reformed Church,
in Frederick, against any modification in Sunday laws;

Also,

The petition of A. Bateman, and 40 other citizens of
Maryland, against any modification of the Sunday law.

Also,

The petition of Fred. W, Bald, Jno. V. Richardson,
and 30 others, against modification of Sunday laws.

Also,

The petition of J. M. Wilbur, F. M. Thurston, and 20
other citizens, against modification of Sunday law.

The petition of Rev. Osborn Belt, Fred. W. Bonday,
and 50 others, members of Montford M. E. Church,
against any modification of Sunday law.

The petition of Rev. Douglass Hooff, E. C. Robbins,
