The Journal of 13th inst, was read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Satterfield, (by request) presented the petition of
53 citizens of Caroline county against the passage of the
Pharmacy bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Hygiene.

Mr. King presented a petition of Lewis C. Carrico and
90 other citizens of St. Mary's and Charles counties,
praying the enactment of a law appointing a commission
to lay down and mark in a permanent manner the boun-
dary between the said counties.

Which was read and referred to the St. Mary's and
Charles county delegations.

Mr. Staley presented the petition of the Board of
County School Commissioners of Washington county, in
reference to the unequal distribution of the State School
Tax and Free School Fund.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Education.

Mr. Dunn presented the memorial of St. Elizabeth's
Home for Colored Children, asking for an appropriation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of the County
Commissioners of Harford county, praying for an act to
enable them to raise a sum of money for the purpose of
building an addition to the court house.

Which was read and referred to the Harford county
delegation.

Mr. Kendall presented the petition of Wm. P. Middle-
ton and about 300 others, asking for the continuance of
the use of patent tongs, known as deep water tongs, in
the waters of Kent county.

Which was read, and referred to the Kent county dele-
gation, and to Mr. Lakin.
