On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropriate
a sum of money for the House of Reformation for colored
boys at Prince George's county, Maryland, to be ex-
pended in making certain repairs and improvements here-
in enumerated and particularly set out and described. "
On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropriate
a sum of money for the aid and support of the Social
Settlement Association of Baltimore city, for the years
1900 and 1901 respectively. "
On motion of Mr. Frenzel,
Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
town of Barton, Allegany county. "
On motion of Mr. Waters,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to ratify and confirm
the charter of Christ Reformed Congregation of Middle-
town, Frederick county, Maryland, to sanction the ac-
quisition, holding and disposing of by the same of certain
lands situated in Frederick county. "
On motion of Mr. Martenet,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Hygiene, to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide proper sani-
tary safeguards to purchasers and consumers of meats
imported into the State of Maryland. "..
On motion of Mr. Knott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to change the name
of the 'Mortgage and Trust Company, ' incorporated by
chapter 263, of the Acts of 1898, to that of 'The
Standard Trust Company, ' and to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 13, of said chapter, subjecting
said company to certain provisions, and authorizing it to
unite with other like companies. "
On motion of Mr. Clark,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery county dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide for
