FRIDAY, Feby. 2, 1900.

The House met at 10. 30 A. M., and was opened with
prayer by the Rev. Geo. S. Bell.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Speaker, King, Kendall, Norris, of Kent,
Ditty, Feldmeyer, Gibson, Walbach, of G., Lancaster,
Stewart, Truitt, of Balto, co.; Mann, Sandman, Jeffers,
Collins, Dudley, of Talbot; Willis, Ward, Dryden, Disha-
roon, Pattison, Linthicum, Mackie, Keys, Kimble, Mer-
rick, Perkins, Contee, Dudley, of Q. A.; Norman, Smith,
Buckey, Waters, Lakin, Brown, of Frederick; Mitchell,
Hopkins, Foster, Satterfield, Lednum, Scrimger, Gately,
Bramble, Sanford, Knott, Lehmayer, Latrobe, Curtis,
Duncan, Martenet, Robinson, Johnson, Long, Staley,
Clark, Deets, Hutton, Radcliff, Close, Graeff, Hoffacker,
Walsh, Wolfe, Hanson, Waller, Roberts, Wilson, Fin-
zel—68.

The Journal of the 1st was read and approved.

Mr. Lancaster, of Charles county, arose to a question
of personal privilege.

The Speaker decided that the gentleman was out of
order, but he insisted upon pressing his point and re-
fused to be seated,

Whereupon,

The Speaker ordered the Sergeant-at-Arms to bring
the gentleman to the Bar of the House, where he was
reprimanded, and his attention directed to the Rules of
the House. He was then excused by the Speaker.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Walsh presented the petition of Peter Engel and
24 other voters of Carroll county, requesting amendments
to the Liquor License Law of Carroll county.
