Mr. Staley moved to reconsider the vote on
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 61, of
Article 77, of the Code of Public General Laws of the
State of Maryland, title 'Public Education, as re-enacted
by chapter 135 of the Acts of Assembly of the State of
Maryland at the session of 1896, and to re-enact said sec-
tion so as to read as follows. "

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates,

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee of five,
three on the part of the House and two on the part of the
Senate to wait upon his Excellency, the Governor, and
inform him that the Legislature will adjourn to-night at
12 o'clock midnight, and to learn if he has any further
communications to make.
