On motion of Mr. Mitchell, it was

Ordered, That when the House adjourns to-night, it
stand adjourned until eleven o'clock Wednesday morn-
ing.

On motion of Mr. Waters, it was

Ordered, That an additional screen four feet in
width and four feet high, be placed to the left of the
Allegany county delegation to protect the delegates in
that section of the hall from the drafts of air through the
door.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.

On motion of Mr. Buckey,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to repeal chapter two hundred and forty-eight (248), of
the Acts of 1894, of the Public General Laws, entitled
"An Act to create a Fire Marshal for the State of Mary-
land. "

Referred to the Judiciary Committee to be hereafter
appointed.

On motion of Mr. Duncan,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to repeal sections 740 and 741, of Article 4, Public Local
Laws, entitled "City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Police
Commissioners, " as amended and re-enacted by chapter
123, of the Acts of 1898, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Referred to the Committee on Judiciary, hereafter to
be appointed.

On motion of Mr. Latrobe,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled "An Act
to properly care for and preserve the battle flags carried
by Maryland regiments during the civil war of 1861 to
1865. "

Referred to Committee on Militia, to be hereafter ap-
pointed.

On motion of Mr. Sanford,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to repeal Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws,
