House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower

Junius M. Baker to construct in front of his property in

the town of Cambridge, Dorchester county, a wharf or

shell walk extending out into the Great Choptank River. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 5, section 1, after the word "Baker, " insert the
words "In Water street. "

In line 11, of section 1, after the word "River, " insert
the following words: "Provided such wharf or shell
walk be constructed and established on or before the 1st
day of January, A. D., 1905. "

Which were severally read and adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a first time.

BILLS—SECOND READING.

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
Police Commissioners of Baltimore city, to increase the
pension of Wm. H. Mills, a retired policeman of the
police force of Baltimore city. "

Which was read a second time, and ordered engrossed
for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
County Commissioners of Cecil county to erect and main-
tain boards so painted and marked with letters and
figures, as to indicate the direction of and distance to the
nearest town, city or village postoffice, or other places of
importance at the road intersections in said county. "

Which was read a second time, and ordered engrossed
for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 17, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland title 'Prince George's County, ' sub-title 'Sheriff, '
to follow section 298, and to be known as 'Section 298
A, ' of said Article. "

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to provide for the selling
of corn, hay, straw, fodder and potatoes in Annapolis
city by weight, and to establish scales therefor. "
