Code of Public Local Laws, title 'City of Baltimore, ' sub
title 'Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks, ' as re-enacted by
chapter 123 of the Acts of the 'General Assembly of 1898. "

Which was read a second time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors at any point within one
mile and a-half of the public school house in the village
of Groom, or within a mile and a-half of St. Thomas'
Church, Prince George's county. Maryland. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to protect citizens and
owners of property in the city of Westminster in Car-
roll county, from exorbitant charges for water or the
use thereof supplied and furnished by the Westminster
Water Company, of Westminster Maryland, a body cor-
porate by authority and requiring the Mayor and Com-
mon Council of Westminster, a body corporate to fix and
regulate all charges to be paid by the citizens and owners

of property in the city of Westminster, for water or the
use of water to be supplied by said Westminster Water
Company and to regulate salaries to be paid by said

company to its officers. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to create a commission to
examine the Laws of this State relating to taxation and
to prepare any needed amendments thereof, and also ap-
propriating money for the expenses of said commission. "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Choate, from Select Committee, reported unfavor-
ably,
