Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 740 and
741, of Article 4, Public Local Law, entitled 'City of Bal-
timore, ' sub-title 'Police Commissioners, ' as amended and
re-enacted by chapter 123, of the Acts of 1898, and to re-
enact the same with amendments. "
PROPOSED AMENDMENT.
To be put at the end of section 741 of the Reform
League bill:
That the Mayor of the City of Baltimore, shall ex-officio
be a member of the Board of Police Commissioners. He
shall, however, only have a vote when there is a tie vote
between the Police Commissioners, and in no case shall
he vote upon any appointment of any person on the force
or upon promotion of any person in the police force to
any higher position therein.
The amendment was rejected.
