The Journal of the 29th, was read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS,

Mr. Scrimger presented a petition from the directors
of the Female House of Refuge.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Mitchell presented a petition from Henry A. Price
and others, protesting against any change in the Fish
Law of Bush river in Harford county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Game and Fish.

Mr. Sandman presented the petition of St. John's Col-
lege, asking for an appropriation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Gibson presented a petition from Wm. A. Greir-
son and 45 others, citizens of Calvert county, asking for
the repeal of the Fish Law for Huntington creek, in
Calvert county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.

Mr. Walsh presented a petition signed by David F.
Bosley and 37 other voters of Carroll county, requesting
amendments to the liquor license law of Carroll county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Simmons presented the petition of J. W. Sterling
and 12 other citizens of Calvert county asking for a
change in the time an manner of catching oysters in the
Patuxent river.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.
