Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably the following order:
Ordered, That the State Printers, the Wm. J. C. Du-
laney Company, are hereby authorized and directed to
furnish one thousand copies of the roster of the military
and naval organizations from Maryland in the United
States volunteer service during the Spanish American.
War.
The one thousand copies of said work shall be printed
and distributed as follows: Two hundred copies, one hun-
dred bound in cloth, to the Executive Department, to be
distributed to the several States of the Union in exchange
for similar works published by said States, and to offi-
cials and citizens of this State requiring such official in-
formation; two hundred copies, one hundred bound in
cloth, to the Adjutant-General to be used or distributed
in his discretion; three copies, one bound in cloth and
two in paper, to each of the Senators and members of
the House cf Delegates of Maryland; the remaining vol-
umes to the State Librarian, to be supplied to such pub-
lic libraries of this or other States, and to such other or-
ganizations or individuals as he may deem proper.
The said roster shall contain a complete list of the mem-
bers of the Fifth and First Maryland Regiments of Uni-
ted States Infantry and the members of the Battalion of
Naval Reserves, who were mustered into the United
States service during said war, with the full name, rank,
date of entering and leaving the service, service per-
formed and character of discharge.
