REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Lehmayer, from Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 26 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title 'Courts, ' by adding a
new section thereto relating to the abandonment of ac-
tions, suits or other proceedings, to follow section 17, and
to be known as 'Section 17 A. ' "

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction
and assent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
acquiring, holding and disposing of by deed, mortgage
or otherwise, by the German. Lutheran Evangelical Frie-
dens' Church of Baltimore city, of a certain lot of ground
at the northeast corner of Madison street and Duncan
alley in Baltimore city. "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Lehmayer, from Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably, with the request that same be sent to the
Baltimore city delegation.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments chapter 494, of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, session 1898, to repeal sec-
tion 756, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title 'Baltimore City, ' sub-title 'Police, ' and to re-enact
the same with amendments. "

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city
delegation.

Also favorably, with request that same be referred to
the Baltimore city delegation.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide a special fund
as authorized by chapter 123, section 2, or the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, session 1898, title
'City of Baltimore, 'sub title 'Charter, ' sub-title 'General
Powers, ' sub-title 'Police, ' and to care for and regulate
the distribution of said fund. "

Which was read and referred to Baltimore city dele-
gation.
