Senate bill No. 231, entitled "An Act to authorize the
change of name of the Washington and Rockville Rail-
way Company of Montgomery county, a corporation
formed under the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of
' Public General Laws of this State, and to authorize the
consolidation of said company with certain other corpo-
rations incorporated for the same or similar purposes,
and to grant additional powers to the said railway com-
pany. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by adding at the end of section 4 the follow-
ing:

" Provided, however, that should such corporation ex-
tend its lines into the city of Baltimore, it shall be sub-
ject in all respects to the provisions of chapter 123 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, as a condition
precedent thereto, and shall first have and receive the
consent of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore. "
