On motion of Mr. Knott,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter
of the Firemen's Insurance Company, of Baltimore, a
body corporate, existing by virtue of the Act of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1825, chapter 55, and the
Acts supplementary thereto, or amendatory thereof, by
providing for the reduction in the number of directors of
said company fixed by the Act of 1892, chapter 143, sec-
tion 5, sub-section 13, and also to ratify and approve the
increase heretofore made by the stockholders of the com-
pany in the number and par value of the shares of the
capital stock of said corporation in pursuance of section
4, sub-section 2, of said last amended Act. "

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

Joint Resolution, extending the term of service of
Honorable James Revell, as Associate Judge of the 5th
Judicial Circuit of Maryland, until the expiration of the
full period of fifteen years, for which he was elected.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judiciary.

Also,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections
to Article 41, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Governor, ' to be known as sections 25 and 26, and to
follow section 24. "

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.

Also,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to permit the United
Hallways and Electric Company of Baltimore to increase
its Board of Directors from the present number, to-wit:
nine (9) unto eleven (11), and to provide that of such
number, two may be citizens and residents of States
other than the State of Maryland. "

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
