"250-161. Any master or person in charge of any boat
who shall violate any of the provisions of this sub-title of
said Articles relating to the catching of oysters in the
Choptank river, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and on conviction before any Justice of Peace or Judge
of the Circuit Courts of either of said counties, shall be
fined not less than one hundred nor more than three hun-
dred dollars, and the license of the master of the boat
which shall have been issued to him to take or catch oys-
ters shall be forfeited and cancelled, and if said master
and person in charge of said boat be the owner thereof,
then, in such case, the said boat so unlawfully used shall
not again be used in said waters for the remainder of
the season for which said master was so licensed to use
the same.

"251 of Article 10, 162 of Article 21. It shall not be
lawful for any dunnage boat, canoe or vessel to be em-
ployed to catch oysters with scoop, scrape or dredges in
the waters in common between Dorchester and Talbot
counties; and all timbers more than five and one-half
inches in depth used in the construction of said boat, to
which her bottom is fastened, or any and all other mater-
ial used to make the space between the ceiling and bot-
tom planks over five and one-half inches, and all ceiling
over two inches thick, and any or all material used be-
tween such ceiling and deck decreasing custom house
tonnage shall be considered dunnage. The Governor of
this State shall on or before the first day of July in each
year appoint two competent persons, one from Dorches-
ter county, and one from Talbot county, to be known
as admeasurers; to examine and measure all boats
over six gross tons, (Custom House measurements) or
smaller boats, if in the judgment of said admeasurers,
they have reason to believe such boats have been incor-
rectly measured, prior to the granting by the clerks of
said Circuit Courts, a license to catch oysters with scoop,
scrape or dredge, and the said admeasurers acting to-
gether shall, as soon as notified and paid one dollar each
for each boat and traveling expenses and the cost of cer-
tificate and revenue stamp by the captain or managing
owner of such boats, proceed to examine and measure the
same; if after examining and measuring such boat the
admeasurers find that such boat is under seven tons gross,
