PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Norris, of Carroll, presented the petition from the
qualified voters of Union Bridge, Carroll county, for the
privilege of voting at the next general election whether
intoxicating liquors shall be sold in said district. "

Which was read and referred to the Carroll county
delegation.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Lehmayer, it was
Ordered by the House of Delegates, That the Com-
mittee on Corporations be, and they are hereby, directed
to report House bill No. 125, introduced by Mr, Robin-
son, by 8 P. M., Friday, March 23rd.

On motion of Mr. Foster, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Hopkins be excused for non-atten-
dance on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Buckey, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Brown, of Frederick, be excused
on account of illness.

On motion of Mr. Biggs, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Wolfinger be excused from to-day's
session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Dryden, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Simmons and Mr. Gibson be ex-
cused from attendance at to-day's session on account of
business.

On motion of Mr. Linthicum, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Corkran be excused from attend-
ance on to-day's session.

On motion of Mr. Collins, it was

Ordered, That the sum of twenty dollars ($20) be paid to
J. Roger McSherry, for services rendered the House as
acting Chief Clerk.
