quiries.

19. Except as expressly provided in the preceding sec-
tion, nothing therein contained nor any Act thereunder,
shall change or affect the present rules of evidence or the
present presumptions of law.

Section 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
and be in force from the date of its passage.

House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Licenses, ' sub-title 'Traders, ' to follow section 49, to be
designated as 'Section 49 A, ' and to repeal section 56 to
66 inclusive, sub-title 'Spirituous or Fermented Liquors
by Retailors, ' and to re-enact sections 55 and 56, and to
repeal sections 68 to 81 inclusive, and to re-enact section
C8, with amendments, sub-title 'Ordinary Keeper, ' and
to repeal sections 82 and 83, sub-title 'Penalties, ' and to
re-enact with amendments section 82, 83 and 84. '

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 7, of Art-
icle 39, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title 'Pish and Fisheries, ' sub-title 'Head of the Bay, ' and
to re-enact the same with amendments. "

typewriting. "
