Mr. Staley, from Committee on Education, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to add four additional sec-
tions to Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, en-
titled 'Allegany County, ' to be sub-titled 'Public Educa-
tion, ' and to be 'Numbered 209 A, 209 B, 209 C and 209
D. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 81, of
Article 77, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title 'Public Education, ' sub-title 'Teachers and Ins-
titutes, ' and to re-enact the same with amendments. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. King, from the Committee on Elections, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to add five new sections to
Article 33, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, entitled 'Elections, ' as re-enacted by chapter 202,
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, of
1896, to be numbered 'Sections 63 A, 63 B, 63 C, 63 D
and 63 E, ' to follow section 63. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. King, from the Committee on Elections, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 62, of Article 33, of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Elections, ' sub-
title 'Elections, ' as the same was enacted by chapter 202,
of the Acts of Assembly of 1896, and to provide for
greater secrecy of the ballot. "

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a certain
sum of money to the House of Refuge for the purpose of
remodeling the plumbing and closets of the buildings
and for increasing the water supply and for other ne-
