Mr. Waters submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 2 strike out the word "biennally. "
In line 3, after the words "said county, " insert the
words "who shall hold office until January 1st, 1902, and
at the next general election there shall be elected for the
term of two years from January 1st, 1902, a competent
person, resident of Somerset county, as treasurer for said
county. "
In line 18 strike out the words "for two years and. "
In line 19 strike out the word "appointed, " and insert
in lieu thereof the word "elected. "
In amendment No. 3, after the word "county, " insert
the following
"And at every succeeding general election thereafter
there shall be elected a county treasurer for said county
to serve for the period of two years. "
