grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer in the vil-
lage of New Midway, Frederick county, Maryland, or
within one mile thereof. "

Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 122, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Calvert County, '
Article 5, sub-title 'Roads, ' and re-enact the same with
amendments so as to read as follows. "

Which was read second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled '; An Act to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Charles county to refund to
the heirs of H. R. Harris, $14. 52 money erroneously paid
into the Treasury of Charles county as county taxes in
the years 1898 and 1899. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to abolish the payment of
appearance fees to attorneys-at-law, by the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county in 'Habeas Corpus' cases
arising in said county. "

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
the Druid Ridge Cemetery of Baltimore county, to pur-
chase, hold or use for the purposes of burial two hundred
acres of land in said county, and to perpetuate the
charter. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 2, add the following words:

"Provided that nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued to exempt the property hereinbefore mentioned
from taxation. "
