from the hours of nine o'clock A. M. until twelve o'clock
M., and from three o'clock P. M. until five o'clock P. M.,
and from seven o'clock P. M. until eight o'clock P. M.,
and said police justice of the peace shall not absent
himself from the town of Hagerstown without first
securing another justice of the peace to be in at-
tendance at his office during the time of his absence,
nor shall said police justice of the peace be absent
from the town of Hagerstown for more than three days
consecutively at any time without the consent of the
State's Attorney for Washington county and the Mayor
of Hagerstown, be in writing first had and obtained. "

"265 D. The police justice of the peace in and for dis-
tricts S, 17, 21, 22, 24 and 25, shall have criminal juris-
diction of offenses committed in any of the districts of
said county cognizable by justices of the peace under the
law, where complaint is made before him but no warrant
of arrest shall be issued by said police justice of the peace
except upon the oath or affirmation of the person making
complaint that an offense has been committed and upon
being satisfied upon examination of such person making
complaint under oath of the probable truth of such
charge.

"265 E. No justice of the peace or constable appointed
for any other district of said county shall have or exer-
cise criminal jurisdiction of any kind in the town of
Hagerstown, nor shall they have any criminal jurisdic-
tion of offenses or violations of law committed in said
town either by issuing warrants or arrest or serving pro-
cess of any kind.

"265 F. The police justice of the peace in and for the
districts 3, 17, 21, 22, 24 and 25 of said county shall
at the first regular meeting of the county com-
missioners held in each month, make a report in
writing verified under oath made before the Clerk
of the County Commissioners for Washington coun-
ty, of all criminal cases heard or tried before him
during the preceding month, which report shall state in
each case the name of the defendant, the offense charged
the name of the person upon whose complaint the war-
rant was issued, the name of the officer serving warrant
and summons, the number of witnesses summoned, the
judgment rendered, the amount of fine or penalty im- -
