gether with all other matters relating to the conduct and
management thereof as may be deemed interesting and
useful. "

Amend by adding after section 4 the following section
to be section 5, as follows:

'Section 5. Be it enacted, That no member of the said
board or any officer thereof, shall be directly or indirectly
interested in any contract for building, repairing or fur-
nishing any supplies to any institution or organization of
which the said board shall consider the application for
State aid or be authorized by this Act to visit and in-
spect. "

Amend by changing the number of section 5 to num-
ber 6.

And in line 3 of the then section 6, to strike out "the, ''
after the word "than, " the words "one thousand, " and
substitute therefor the words "twelve hundred. "

And in line 6 of the then section 6, after the word
"board, " to add the words "and secretary thereof. "

And to strike out after the word "exceed, " in line 9,
the words "three dollars per day for each of said mem-
bers, " and substitute in lieu thereof the words "five hun-
dred dollars per annum for all of said members and said
secretary. "

Amend section 6 by changing the number of said sec-
tion to 7.

And by adding after the word "board" in line 3 of the
then section 7 the words "and secretary thereof. "

And by striking out the words after the word "office7'
in line 4, the words "for stationery, postage stamps and
furniture. "

Amend section 7 by changing the number to section 8.

And in line 4 of the then section 8 to strike out the
word "Clerk, " and substitute therefor the word "secre-
tary. "

And in line 6 to strike out word "Clerk" and substitute
therefor the word "secretary. "

And to add after the word "board" in line 7, the words
'and of said secretary. "

All of which amendments were severally read and
adopted.
