On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate
the payment of all appropriations made by the State, to
associations or corporations maintained for industrial,
educational, humane or charitable purposes. "
On motion of Mr. Latrobe, (by request, )
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide for
the registration of all persons duly admitted and licensed
to practice as Attorneys and Counselors at Law in the
Courts of Record of the State of Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Dudley, of Queen Anne,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to John L.
Rhodes, former treasurer of Queen Anne's county, a sum
of money erroneously paid by him into the treasury on
State taxes.
On motion of Mr. Knott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend section 2,
of Article 35, title 'Evidence, ' of the Code of Public
General Laws. "
On motion of Mr. Siegmund.
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropriate
a sum of money to assist in defraying the expenses of
further remodeling, repairing and putting in condition
for the use as an armory for the Fourth Regiment Mary-
land National Guard, the building formerly known as
the ' Western Female High School, ' situate on West Fay-
ette street, near Paca, in the city of Baltimore, and for
the support and maintenance of said regiment. "
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sec-
tions 72 to 88 inclusive, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title 'Washington County, ' sub-title 'Clearspring, '
as amended by the Acts of 1892. chapter 384. "
