acted by chapter 202, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1896, said new sections to be desig-
nated as 'Sections 16 A, 16 B, 16 C and 16 D. '"

REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON INVESTIGATION.

To the Speaker and Members

of the House of Delegates.

Your committee respectfully reports, that at 4 o'clock
P. M. this day, the committee met and heard the evidence
of Jacob Schornfarber, William H. Russell, Solomon
Freeburger and Martin Lehmayer, in regard to the
charges made by Mayor Hayes in reference to the pend-
ing Telephone Bill, this evidence we will submit to the
House when it is properly typewritten.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

Senate bill No. 168, entitled "An Act to add certain
new sections to Article 48, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Inspections, under the new sub-title 'Feed
Stuffs, ' to follow section 83, and to be known as 'Sections
84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91 and 92. ' "

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Inspections.

Also,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec-
tion to the Public Local Laws, title 'Baltimore County, '
sub-title 'County Commissioners, ' providing for the pub-
lication of assets and liabilities in their annual statement
as required by section 11, Article 25, of the Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland. '"

Which was read a first time and referred to the Balti-
more county delegation.

Also,

Senate bill No. 208, entitled "An Act to provide for
the appointment of a board of commissioners to be
known as 'Commissioners for the revision of the laws of
