    On further progression in reading the said bill, the question was put, That the following be proposed as an
amendment thereto?  After the word "state" in the fourteenth line of the seventh page, insert " or has been
actually residing within his state two years, using the trade of merchandise, by buying and selling in gross, or
by retail."  Determined in the affirmative.
    On further progression in reading the said bill, the question was put, That the fifth section be struck out?  The
yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

person applying for relief under this act shall have the benefit thereof, unless the chancellor shall be satisfied, by
competent testimony, that the petitioning debtor has been actually using the trade of merchandise, by buying
and selling in gross, or by retail."  The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

amendment thereto?  After the word "as" in the last line of the same page insert " having been."  Determined
in the affirmative.
    The bill being read throughout, and Charles Goldsborough, junior, Esquire, excused from voting thereon, the
question was put, That the said bill do pass, as amended?  The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

An act to prevent the going at large of geese and swine in Creager's-town, in Frederick county, severally
