    The senate resumed the consideration of the resolution in favour of Rachel Shipley, and on progression in reading
the said resolution, the question was put, That the following be proposed as an amendment to the said resolution?
Strike out the words " the misconduct or misapprehension of duty of" in the fifteenth and sixteenth
lines, and insert, " a collusion between the counter petitioner William Alexander, or John Guyer, in whose
name the warrants, (the benefit of which is claimed by the said Alexander,) were taken out, or any other person
or persons whatever, who are now or have been interested in both or either of the said warrants, or the surveys
made thereon, or of any person on behalf of them, or any of them, and."  Determined in the affirmative.
    On further progression in reading the said resolution, the question was put, That the following be proposed as
an amendment to the said resolution?  At the end of the resolution add, " provided that nothing herein contained
shall be construed to affect the right, title or claim, either in law or equity, of any person or persons whatsoever,
acquired to the whole or any part of the land contained in the said certificate before the passage of this
resolve."  The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow.

The resolution being read throughout, the question was put, That the senate do assent to the said resolution
as amended?  The yeas and nays being required appeared as follow:

    On motion, ORDERED, That the second reading of the bill for the relief of Benoni Hamilton Wade, of
Prince-George's county, and the bill for the relief of James Alexander Magruder, of Prince-George's county,
an insolvent debtor, be postponed.
    The further supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the relief of the poor of Calvert county, was read the
second time, and the question put, That the said bill do pass with the proposed amendments?
    Amendments proposed.  Strike out the words " his services" in the seventh line of the second page, and insert,
" the services of the clerk aforesaid."  At the end of the bill, add, " This act to be in force for three
years, and to the end of the next session of the general assembly which may happen thereafter."
    The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

    The resolution in favour of Martha Howard, was read the second time and assented to.
    The additional supplement to an act, entitled, An act to streighten and amend the public roads in Harford
county, and for other purposes, was read the second time and will pass.
    The further supplement to an act, entitled, An act to streighten and amend the public roads in Harford county,
and for other purposes, was read the second time and will pass with the proposed amendments.
    Amendments proposed.  After the word "that" in the eighth line of the second page insert " Daniel Bowley,
William Dimmett, senior."  Strike out the word "two: in the tenth line of the same page and insert
"three."  Strike out the word "two: in the fifteenth line of the same page and insert "three."
    The bill for the relief of William Works, of Cæcil county, was read the second time and will pass with the
proposed amendment.
    Amendment proposed.  At the end of the bill add, " and provided also, that unless the said William works
shall, on or before the first day of june next, proceed according to law to make himself a citizen of the United 
States, this act shall have no effect to confirm his title to the property above mentioned, nor shall he, or any person
claiming under him, derive any benefit under this act; but if the said William Works shall die before the
