So it was determined in the negative.
    The bill being read throughout, the question was put, That the said bill do pass?   Resolved in the affirmative,
and sent to the senate by the clerk.
    The clerk of the senate delivers the resolution in favour of Robert Courtenay, endorsed; " By the senate,

The bill for incorporating the methodist episcopal churches, known by the name of The Light-street and Old-town
Methodist Churches, in the City of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, the additional supplement to the
act, entitled, An act for the opening of Second-street, in the city of Baltimore, severally endorsed; " By the 
" senate, December 11, 1800:  Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

" By the senate, December 13, 1800: Read the second time and will pass.

The bill authorising and empowering the register of wills of Anne-Arundel county to transmit to the office of
register of wills of Worcester county the will of Thomas Powell, of Worcester, deceased, endorsed; " By the
" senate, December 10, 1800:  Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

Which was read the first time, and ordered to lie on the table.
The house adjourns till to-morrow morning 9 o'clock.

T    U    E    D    A    Y,    December 16, 1800.

    THE house met.  Present the same members as on yesterday.  The proceedings of yesterday were read.
    The house appointed Roger Nelson, Esquire, speaker pro tempore.
    A petition from Judith Doyle, of the city of Annapolis, praying to be supported out of the poors house, was
preferred, read, and referred to Mr. Quynn, Mr. Harwood and Mr. Edmondson, to consider and report thereon.
