The Same tho often thereunto required by the plt: whereupon the plt: Sayeth that
he is damnified and hath damadge to the vallue of Twelve hundred pounds of Tobacco
& thereupon brings his Suite pro quer John Taylor pled of po Jno: Doe
Richd: Roe
And the deft: by Thomas Poole his Attourney cometh & defendeth the force & injury who
&a: and saith that the deft: never did board any Child at the plts: house & therefore
puts the plt: upon the proofe of his declaracon & this Court for Treyall
Now at the day (to witt the 15th: day of August as aforesaid Came William Round by
his Attourney John Taylor as well as Walter Powell by his Attourney Thomas Poole
and both parties by Mutuall Consent put themselves to there Judgment of the Court
Whereupon its heare Considered by the Court that the said William Round recover against
the said Walter Powell the just Sume of Three hundred pounds of Tobao: with Cost
// The same day Comrs: as aforesaid
Came William Morris of this County & made Motion in open Court for to mende &
Repaire the devideing Creeke bridge upon Consideracon of 4000lb: of Tobo: to be paid
when the worke don Whereupon it was then & there concluded & agreed to & with
The said William Morris that provided he would repaire & mind the said Devideing
Creeks bridge & put the same in as good order and to be of the same breadth as it always
has been and soe to be found & adjudged at the view of any Two men that shall be
by this Court Comanded to view ther same That then the said William Morris is to
have Two Thousand pounds of Tobao: paid him in the interim is to have 100 daies worke at
20lb: of Tobaa: pr diem makes 2000lb: of Tob.o which makes in all 4000lb. of Tobao-
Whereupon & in Consideracon of which the aforesaid William Morris hath in open
Court bound himselfe his heires exercutors: & admrs: in the penalty of 40000lb: of Tobao://
To be leavied on his goods Chattles Lands & Tennements for such use as the Justices
of this Court Shall Seem Meet/ The Condicon beinge Such that if the Above bounden
William Morris shall well & truly make up the Bridge of the said Devideing Creeke & that
the same be strong & substantiall as before required as also to be finished compleated
& ended by the last day of December next then the above Obligacon to be void & of
none effect Otherwise to Stand & remaine in full force power & vertue
